“深山红叶”和老九，毛桃PE系列都是很好用的光盘工具，如果能整合到一个U盘里面多种启动，无疑给使用上带来更多的方便。其实，坛子里很多帖子都谈到了怎么作PE启动U盘，俺把看了这些帖子后的实践和一些体会在这个帖子里面做一个小的总结。以下所讲，用的是Kingston 512M的USB 2.0盘。文中提到的软件见附件。
1。安装Grub (这里用Dos4Grub）：
作PE启动U盘的关键是grub这个强大的多重启动引导工具，一旦U盘装上了grub，可以说几乎引导什么系统都是小菜一碟。装Dos4Grub有两种方法：
a. 用HP的那个工具hpusbfw把u盘格式化成dos引导盘，然后把grub.exe拷到u盘根目录，再在u盘根目录下面建一个文本文件，然后改名 autoexec.bat,里面只需写入一行"grub.exe"（去掉引号）。
b. 直接用grubinst_gui在u盘上安装grub引导的mbr，然后在把grldr（无扩展名）这个文件复制到u盘根目录就可以了。
2。复制PE引导，运行关键文件。
其实，每个PE的引导文件（就是grub要chainload的文件）都是某个版本的Windowx XP光盘或Service Pack里面的的SETUPLDR.BIN文件改名（一般还用UltraEdit修改，使载入系统文件的路径不同，防止和别人做的冲突）而来：老九的叫 PELDR，毛桃和红叶的最新版没有改名。PE的引导启动需要SETUPLDR.BIN，而这个SETUPLDR.BIN还需要NTDETECT.COM 在同一目录下，如果在SETUPLDR.BIN启动时（黑屏的时候）需要中文字体的支持，还需要一个BOOTFONT.BIN（早些的红叶需要）。
PE引导按照俺的理解有两种方式：直接从（光盘，U盘）介质上引导，或者用ramdisk 引导。如果是直接引导（早些的深山红叶），就只需要上面所说的文件（注意，只是引导部分）。如果PE引导是基于ramdisk的（现在好像大家都在这么做），还需要另外两个文件，一个文件是WINNT.SIF，文件内容类似下面：

为了这个文件不和别人做的PE向冲突，几乎每个定制PE的人都把它改了名字：老九的叫WINNT.001，毛桃的叫WINNT.XPE，红叶的（最新熊猫烧香V28版）叫 WINPE.SIF，等等。大家看到100多个字节（根目录或System32, PEXP, MININT下），而用记事本打开的内容和上面几乎一样的，就是这个被改名的WINNT.SIF文件了。再有就是ramdisk要载入内存的景镜象文件了（一般都是.iso文件压缩成.cab再改名）。这个是PE运行的核心文件，大家在精简也集中在这个文件上。同样的为了避免冲突，不同的人给这个文件的命名也不一样：老九的叫52NEW.IM_，毛桃的叫WINPE.IS_，红叶的（最新熊猫烧香V28版）叫WINPE.IM_。
好，唠叨完了说每个光盘的具体文件拷贝：
拿随便哪一个光盘的NTDETECT.COM放到u盘根目录，如果有BOOTFONT.BIN也丢过去。
a. 拷贝老九的WINNT.SIF和52NEW.IM_到u盘根目录，再把PELDR重命名也放到根目录（比如改成old9.ldr）。
b. 拷贝毛桃的WINNT.XPE和WINPE.IS_到u盘根目录，再把光盘WXPE目录下的SETUPLDR.BIN重命名放到u盘根目录下（比如改成 maotao.ldr)。
c. 拷贝红叶的WINPE.SIF和WINNT.IM_到u盘根目录，再把光盘WINS目录下的SETUPLDR.BIN重命名放到u盘根目录下（比如改成 redleaf.ldr）。
3。复制系统关键文件。
只是用直接从介质启动的pe才需要这一步，举个老例子：早些的红叶需要把光盘下整个PEXP目录拷贝到u盘下，再重命名为MININT。但现在大家都玩ramdisk了，这一步可以跳过。
4。复制程序文件。
其实到了步骤3，每一个PE都是可以启动的了（如果我们做了5：编辑menu.lst文件）。但PE就是要带上一定的有用工具让我们来做系统维护，所以我们还要把那些工具软件复制到u盘。
a. 老九和毛桃的程序文件夹都叫“外置程序”，原封不动的拷贝到u盘根目录下就可以了。
b. 深山红叶的程序文件夹都叫“PROGRAMS”，原封不动的拷贝到u盘根目录下就可以了。（红叶的"MENU"目录不知道是作什么用的，没有也没发现会影响到设呢，但为了保险起见，也拷贝过去吧。）
5。编辑menu.lst文件。
再u盘下建一个0字节的文件取名‘usb.grub.boot.tag'（为了让grub 找到u盘所在区）.在u盘下建立一个文本文件，改名为menu.lst（grub要用），打开然后输入类似下面的内容：

保存文件，退出。重启，在bios中设定u盘为第一启动，一切正常的话，你可以用这个u盘启动三个PE中任意一个。

背景图片要求：
图片必须为 16色的 XPM格式图。
可用 7Z 将图片压缩成 GZ 格式以便快速读取。
转换工具：XnView
点“图像”-- “转换为着色图”-- “16色（自适应）”即可。
转换图片方法：
第一种：在 PhoXo 之类的编辑工具中将图片编辑好，然后转换为 32位（越高位越好）BMP 格式，再在 XnView 中将图片转换为 16色 的XPM 图片。
第二种：在 XnView 中直接将图片转换为 16 色XPM图。
经试验：第一种方法比第二种方法清晰。

据BT新闻资讯网站Torrentfreak周日公布的2008年度10大BT网站显示，流量最高前三名的BT网站仍是海盗湾(Pirate Bay)、Mininova和IsoHunt，只不过排名与去年稍有变化。海盗湾成为今年的榜首，海盗湾已经有5年多的历史，曾遭遇瑞典警方突袭搜查，却 因祸得福的收获了大批的新增用户；还曾为了建立避风港，不受任何“外国”警方和政客的干预，而试图在2007年筹资购买独立小国Sealand，尽管最终 遭到拒绝；此外，它还频频打破自己创造的用户同时在线的新纪录
以下是2008年度10大BT网站：
1. 海盗湾(Pirate Bay，去年排名第3)
网站流量检测显示，海岛湾成为2008年度最受欢迎的BT网站。
尽管在丹麦和意大利遭到封杀，但海盗湾今年的表现仍十分强劲。今年恰逢海盗湾创建5周年，月独立访问用户数量超过2500万。

2. Mininova(去年排名第1)
今年，Mininova稳步发展，在过去的12个月中提供了30多亿个种子文件。除了用户上传内容，Mininova今年开始将精力放在付费发行商上。

3. IsoHunt(去年排名第2)

2007年，SuMOTOrrent迅速跻身一线BT网站之列。今年，SuMOTOrrent继续壮大。

除了排名上升一位外，BitTorrentMonster今年的表现很正常，无其他特别新闻。

10. TorrentPortal(去年排名第7)
与BitTorrentMonste一样，TorrentPortal今年也没有什么特别新闻。网站流量基本稳定，发展速度没有其他BT网站快。
荣誉奖：TorrentSpy
2006年，TorrentSpy红遍全球。去年8月，由于美国联邦法官要求TorrentSpy记录所有用户数据，最终导致TorrentSpy于今年3月彻底关闭。
